Smokey and Bandit are littermates. They are in the right home at the wrong time. There is a toddler in the house and another baby on the way. Having lost two dogs in a house fire – the purchase of the puppies came too early. They also expected these puppies to be as mellow as an adult Springer they knew.
They are both housebroken and crate-trained.
The boys are good with toddlers. In the zest and zeal they sometimes knock down the little boy as they run in the house. They don’t mind if you take things away from them. However, Bandit is more excitable than Smokey.
They’ve had obedience trainin, and they responded well to it. They are strong dogs and do not walk too well on a leash but don’t dislike the leash. An obedience course will be required under the terms of their adoption.
They bark no more than a usual as any Springer would. Neither is a chewer – they just chew their toys. Bandit will dig in the yard. They are not aggressively competitive but want you equally to pay attention to them.
They are generally good natured, beautiful boys, sweet, not aggressive, strong and surprise, surprise – NOSY! Just like a Springer. The each weigh about 40-45 pounds. Bandit is food dominant; Smokey is attention dominant. They really get along well together.
As puppies, they were kept outdoors with their mother. They do like to run and play in the yard but they are inside dogs.
We will be placing the boys separately.
