Original: Alvin was relinquished to MAESSR by a family who felt he was not getting the attention he wanted and deserved. His primary caregiver had passed away about a year ago and, with other dogs and a child in the home, the remaining people in his life were hoping Alvin’s needs could be better met by another family. He spent weeks with his foster family, but as they got to know him, it became sadly clear that he would not be suitable for adoption. By mutual agreement, Alvin was returned to his original family.
