Original: Alibi came into MAESSR’s care from Springer Rescue in the Midsouth Region, a part of English Springer Rescue America, Inc. That group had an urgent need for additional foster homes and MAESSR could help. A MAESSR family that really loves puppy kisses was awaiting little “Ally.”
Ally is indeed all puppy but has already shown herself to be a very smart girl. At this early age, she will cry when she needs to go outside and will often go stand at a door to make her point. She is not 100% proven but at eleven weeks, this is a tremendous accomplishment and shows her willingness to learn and high aptitude for training.
Crate training has come easily for Alibi too. She is very comfortable with her crate and really does not fuss when she goes in. She pretty much drops right off to sleep once in and that is where she spends her time when her family is out of the house.
Ally wants to be a part of any gathering. This can be with the two resident Springers or the family. She particularly enjoys playing with and following the younger of two dogs around. They are becoming fast friends and play at every opportunity. It is clear she is used to a multiple dog household as she presents to new dogs in a very cautious and submissive behavior.
Alibi is at the age where everything is a fascination, birds flying overhead, vacuums, trash trucks, or items seen on her daily walks. She understands what a leash means but at this age, she does wander on her walks which is certainly expected. She likes to cuddle but also will bravely explore the backyard. Alibi will be a wonderful lifetime companion for a very special family and bring great enjoyment to all around her.
