Original: Alex, and his brother Jason, came to MAESSR from New Jersey when their elderly owner went into rehab and was unable to return to his home.
Alex is a very sweet boy that likes attention and enjoys being with you. When he came to his foster home, he had very long, matted hair. He got a major haircut and was wonderful through the entire procedure! Alex rides well in the car and is always up for a trip. He is housebroken and crate trained. He sleeps in a crate at night and is fine with that.
Alex was wonderful on his trip to the vet. The entire staff thought he was such a sweetie. He was found to be Lyme’s positive, but he is not symptomatic, therefore, he is not being treated at this time. If his Lyme’s should ever flare up, it is treated with a 30-day course of inexpensive antibiotics. Alex is a very healthy boy otherwise.
Although he is initially a little shy with people, he warms up to them quickly. At his previous home, he was not socialized much, so he will need a family committed to showing him that the world is a fun place to explore. It took Alex a couple of days to warm up to the eight-year-old boy in his foster home, but now he thinks that boy is a lot of FUN!!!
