Original: AJ is a 13 mo. old ball of energy. He is believed to be more field bred. He is neutered, UTD on vaccinations and on Frontline. He is not on Heartworm preventative but will have the test done. He is not 100% house broken and has a couple of accidents a week. He is not a great listener when distracted by fun stuff outside but listens well inside. He is crate trained but they have not used it in some time now. He has a full tail and is liver and white in color. AJ has had no medical problems and no ear infections. He lives with a 12 yr. old child and has been around children as young as 2 yrs. and is fine with them. He is good with other dogs and lives with a 5 yr. old lower energy Springer. He is not good with cats as he chases anything that runs. He does not do well in a car and jumps over the seats. He is usually crated when traveling. He did have puppy training but really needs a refresher. He does pull on a leash to get to “the fun stuff”. He loves to play fetch and will do so for hours.
AJ is a little mouthy but will stop when they grab his muzzle and tell him no. He chews on appropriate items except in rare cases when the remote control was left out and AJ was left unattended.
AJ has been boarded 2 times. The first time was good. On the 2nd occasion the attendant told the family that Aj tried to bite her. He did not do it through, and we do not know what transpired, or what the attendant may have done, or if it was just AJ being mouthy. There has never been any indication of that behavior at any other time in any situation. He will bark when new people come to the door.
The current owners are taking their other Springer to Las Vegas to live because he is lower energy. They will not have a yard there and feel that AJ would go crazy because of his energy level.
Update: AJ’s owners decided to keep him.
