Rainbow Bridge Crossings
Foster ELECTRA came to MAESSR in April 2020 through the Warwick Valley Humane Society after being seized from an irresponsible breeding situation in NY. Due to years of neglectful veterinary care & poor breeding practices, virtually all the dogs needed treatment for medical conditions, including dental disease, mammary tumors, deafness, blindness, untreated ear infections & allergies, among other things. Electra was fostered by CATHRYN HURLEY & DEBBIE LIPSCEY. This beautiful, sweet & loving girl had never been a house pet & knew nothing about life inside. She knew nothing about steps, drinking from a water bowl, furniture, toys, & all other things that a house dog takes for granted. Ellie loved the smell of all food & counter-surfed with no remorse. She loved cuddles & sleeping…who doesn’t! Sadly, Electra died unexpectedly. She was such a good girl who adored & just loved being with her people. Run free, Ellie! Your foster parents miss you!
Permanent foster MONICA 2 came to MAESSR in November 2022 from a downsizing Brittany breeder in NJ who contacted Brittany Rescue. Upon arrival, the volunteer learned that the breeder had an ESS whose owner had passed several years earlier that he was looking to rehome. Miracle Dog Monica, fostered by WENDY HOGAN, unfortunately met an obstacle she was unable to overcome. When her foster mom noticed a mass on her neck in early July, the biopsy confirmed thyroid cancer. X-rays also confirmed an increase in the number of lung & abdominal nodules. Given her age & increased medical issues, Monica was lovingly provided palliative care in her foster home where she continued to happily trot around the yard with her tail high, sniff to her delight, & jog marathons around the kitchen island as her meals were prepared. She is running whole & pain free, devouring more food than her belly can hold. Spring on, Sweet Sunshine.

Please specify which dog, what year they were adopted, & include their proper write up &/or pictures so we can amend the errors. Thanks.
